First christening of a new sea rescue boat on our shipyard
On February 28, the very first christening of a search and rescue vessel took place at TAMSEN MARITIM attended by numerous invited guests and the entire staff.
The new boat for Puttgarden is now called “ROMY FRANK”. Klaus-Dieter Frank and his wife Rosemarie established a foundation supporting the German Search and Rescue Association, which enabled the “DGzRS” to finance the new building.
This vessel is the ninth in a series of a total of 11 ships, which is perfectly prepared for its future tasks around Fehmarn and Fehmarnbelt thanks to the latest standards.
Over the last 5 years TAMSEN MARITIM delivered eighth SAR boats of the 10,1m class to the German Search and Rescue Association, while a further two are to follow until 2021.
