Successful participation at the COMPOSITES EUROPE 2013
Lightweight construction is today´s priority, and composite materials are the necessary key technology. The impending boom of these innovative materials was also reflected at COMPOSITES EUROPE 2013 which set new records with a clear increase in exhibitor (26 percent) and visitor figures (30 percent). 406 exhibitors from 28 countries and 9,171 visitors came to the Stuttgart exhibition Centre from 17 to 19 September.
Leading producers and processors of composite materials, mechanical engineering companies and research institutions had come to Stuttgart for the eight edition.
Also TAMSEN MARITIM, as a producer of various and very large composite parts, was among the exhibitors for the first time.
The focus of the trade fair this year were new materials systems, integrated production technologies and innovations for the application markets.
The significance of Germany as a location for the composites industry and its application sectors is also reflected in the strong participation of international key players in the trade fair. Being held at the trade fair location Stuttgart – in the heart of Southern Germany, Europe´s largest market for leightweight construction – COMPOSITES EUROPE is closer to its application markets than any other event. Numerous visitors came from the automotive sector, followed by the aviation and renewable energy (wind energy) segments.
The mood at COMPOSITES EUROPE demonstrated: the sales markets for composite materials continue to pick up seed. The future prospects for the industry are generally good. As a result, TAMSEN MARITIM, being highly satisfied with it´s visitor quality and the numerous discussions, has a positive view of the future.
